WHAT IS IT ABOUT?
Politicize your kiddies with the Upside Down World Circus! Featuring upside-down stitlers, a group of First World representatives trained by a lion, Thomas Jefferson and his patriotic cheerleaders, Gerrard Winstanley and his band of Diggers, the Rotten Idea Theater's distillation of political issues and much more, all accompanied by the Bread & Puppet Circus Band! Inspired by ancient folk traditions, as well as classical artists such as Goya, Massacio and Michelangelo, Bread & Puppet Theatre is renowned for its 40 year tradition of staging ambitious public events on a variety of social, political and environmental themes. Peter Schumann directs.
