WHAT IS IT ABOUT?
A New England bed & breakfast room is the setting for Lisa Stephenson's insightful and witty comedy. The play spans the years as it traces the lives of a variety of women, all of whom have stayed in this room. A diversity of culture, experience and emotion is expressed by the cast through a series of poignant, heartfelt and funny monologues.

Performances Nov. 12th, 8:00 pm and Nov. 21st, 3 pm will benefit Gilda's Club, the family-support center for cancer patients.

A journal and a cozy New England bed-and-breakfast provide the source material and the setting for Bedside Manners, the extraordinary monologue play by Lisa Stephenson, running at the Blue Heron Arts Center through November 21. Book-ended by the lyrical musings of a warm, motherly innkeeper, each monologue represents a single entry in the B&B's journal, each written by a different woman, resulting by evening's end in what seems like a minuet of monologues illustrating the diversity of even the smallest random sampling of feminine humanity.
