New York Performance Works hosts the first annual Beach Party Festival, a celebration of world premieres by new and established playwrights, including Warren Leight (author of Side Man) and Jonathan Tolins (If Memory Serves, Twilight of the Golds). One-Act Festival, July 17-22, Monday-Saturday at 8pm Sandman by Marc Ardito, directed by Chris Messina The thoughts, the fear, and the people that help you sleep...sort of. Lenin's Omelet by Rogelio Martinez, directed by David Elliot One journalist discovers what a Cuban must do to make an omelet. The Georges by Stuart Spencer, directed by Scott Williams History is rewritten as we discover the true cause of the American Revolution. The Mid-Wife by Jonathan Tolins, directed by Mark Roberts Is it more fun to be married or single?
