WHAT IS IT ABOUT?
Battery Dance Company offers two free performances in lower Manhattan.
On Saturday, August 16 (raindate: Sunday, August 17), Battery Dance Company and Friends features six companies: Amy Marshall Dance Company, Battery Dance Company, student dancers from the New York Chinese Cultural Center, Notario Dance Company, Swapnasundari & Ensemble/Kuchipudi Dance of India, and Zig Zag Ballet.
The group also performs in the summer in the Square Festival at Union Square on Wednesday, August 20 from 6:00pm to 7:00pm. The program consists of a diverse repertoire of artistic director/choreographer Jonathan Hollander's acclaimed group works and solo performances.
