Barriolesque Performance Carnivale done Urban Style is a theatrical variety show featuring some of the hottest & unique performers and themes. Barriolesque provides an outlet for these artists to showcase their talent. Featured every month is the Barriolesque Birthday Celebration. Come celebrate your BIRTHDAY with us!!!! The Barriolesque Way!! Evolved from its open mic roots of words, rhythms, sounds, dance, and rituals originating out of Spanish Harlem's Carlito's Café to a performance carnivale done urban style at the Lower East Side's Nuyorican Poet's Café. Now Barriolesque is coming home to the Poet's Den in Spanish Harlem and will feature a vast array of talent: including spoken word artists, comedians, rappers, dancers, musicians, and singers.
