Absolutely Wonderful!!
by Meg Knutson on Tuesday, May 11th, 2010 at 5:40 pmWhere to begin~ The story and writing were captivating keeping me on the edge of my seat. I cant wait for parts 2 & 3. The acting blew me away! When the lights went up for intermission, I was disappointed, because I wanted to find out what happens. I would highly recommend this play to anyone. It has a perfect blend of drama and comedy. Into the next day, I couldnt stop thinking about it, and all the emotions it brought up in me. GO SEE IT!
So passionate that I could not leave my seat.
by tdoris on Friday, May 7th, 2010 at 10:57 amThe performance was extremely moving and passionate. I could not remove my eyes from the show. The connection, the deep expression, the mood; everything came together very well. It was a true reflection of reality. I loved it. Keep up the good work.
A Fantastic Play
by colivos on Wednesday, May 5th, 2010 at 12:04 pmI saw the play on Monday, the 3rd and was honestly blown away. The script was so beautiful and the play was very well executed. The way the actors performed with one another was truely fantastic. This is definately a play to see! It took my breath away, very well done!!
Jennifer Laine Williams!
by nyschmactor on Tuesday, May 4th, 2010 at 12:03 pmI think I have one of my first Off-Off Broadway stage crushes! The actress playing Laura Jennifer Laine Williams is someone to keep your eyes out for, I bet shell be on a Broadway stage very soon.
As for the rest of the cast, just superb. Kudos to the director in creating such a layered and natural event. I really felt these were just real people living through extraordinary circumstances.
Play is a gem, Id pay top notch prices to see it again.
I found out about MTWorks through the Fringe Festival, I saw their show a couple of years ago about Ana?s Nin by the same playwright and it was truly remarkable. Last summer they had something else but it wasnt my thing, THIS however lives up to why I started following them.
Again, kudos to all!
Truly Mature Material--Shocked it was an Off-Off
by QuentinC on Tuesday, May 4th, 2010 at 12:01 pmI saw this show on Sunday the 2nd and was really blown away. The quality of script, direction, acting, and set awesome set was far above the normal Off-Off theater I am dragged to. This play really should be seen again. I dont know much about the South, but from a small town was surprised at how much I could relate to. Well Done!

A Wonderful Play, Very Well-Executed
by Aquarian37 on Tuesday, May 4th, 2010 at 11:49 amI was truly blown away by the sheer beauty of the script and the play just took the audience on a journey. Amazing character study and ensemble work. The play gives you an insight into the cultural aspects of a community and the actors work with each other beautifully. I really enjoyed this production and its execution - I hope it goes much further.
a rare miss
by heathredwards on Monday, May 3rd, 2010 at 10:29 amI have been dazzled and amazed by the last couple of productions from MTWorks but this was a miss. The pros are a riveting, lyric script and a subtle but resonant performance from Anthony Crep. The cons are incredibly shallow direction and mere surface portrayals of potentially complex and heartfelt characters. The exceptions besides company stalwart Mr. Crep are moments of truth from Mark Emerson, Carol Hickey and Stu Richel. While I will always support this inventive company, I was surprised by this production.
