Adriano Banchieri's La Barca di Venetia per Padova (1605)
A group of madrigal singers entertains a boatful of Venetian commuters on the ferry from Venice to Padua, and a drunken tourist almost breaks up the party!
A new commission: Eric Salzman and Valeria Vasilevski's Jukebox in the Tavern of Love (2008)
A modern madrigal comedy in which a clutch of diverse New Yorkers take refuge in a bar during a terrible storm and blackout.
