WHAT IS IT ABOUT?
Backstage at Da Fonky B tracks the legendary Brownie Glendale's rise to fame as she attempts to revive the black burlesque art from without revealing the secrets of her troubled past. Tackling complex issues such as economic independence, domestic violence, creativity, strength and friendship, this heart-wrenching story fuses together funk, jazz, soul, and hip-hop to get you groovin in your seat.
