WHAT IS IT ABOUT?
Poet Laureate of Queens Ishle Yi Park speaks, rhymes, and sings the story of Angel & Hannah: A Love Story in Hip-Hop Sonnets, a Brooklyn-Queens affair about a young, interracial couple trying to rise to the occasion of love. Written in hip-hop sonnets & adapted from Park's novel-in-verse, the story is woven together with DJ Reborn's whirling black thread.
Part of the Hip Hop Theater Festival's Critical Breaks Reading Series.
