WHAT IS IT ABOUT?
An Evening with Akashic Books, featuring readings and discussions, celebrates the release of three recent publications by Akashic Books, an award winning Brooklyn-based independent press. Literary legend Amiri Baraka reads excerpts from his new collection of short stories Tales of the Out & the Gone; celebrated Mexican-American writer Felicia Luna Lemus reads from her groundbreaking second novel Like Son, and emerging novelist and playwright Aaron Petrovich offers selections from his debut novella The Session.
