Adaptive Arts, a new off-off Broadway Theater Company dedicated to raising awareness of Autism, presents a rarely performed work by J.M. Barrie, Alice Sit by the Fire. The piece examines a day in the life of a less than traditional family caught in the grips of a melodrama. The only problem? They don't quite know how to act their roles! Adaptive Arts ventures into their living rooms to learn what it means to grow up and be a family. This production of Alice Sit by the Fire continues Adaptive Arts' tradition of adapting productions for audiences with and without Autism. This will also be the first of Barrie's plays produced for audiences with disabilities.
