Alchemist of Light
RE:"Alchemist of Light" at the Fringe Festival
by HNE on Sunday, Aug 23rd, 2009 at 11:51 amMy boyfriend and I, decided to see some Fringe plays this year, we are Fringe Novices and our taste gravitates more to dramas than musicals or performance arts. We decided to see ?Alchemist? last night because my boyfriend is familiar with Meliles? work, and there was a ?talk-back? after the show, this is when the audience is invited to stay after the performance and ask questions to those involved in the play, we highly recommend attending shows with talk-backs.
We thought "Allchemist" was riveting from the start. It was extremely well written, well researched, for historical accuracy, - we learned at the talk-back, that some of the tragic events depicted were based on true events,- and the play was brought to life by some very capable actors.
We each give ?Alchemist? 2-thumbs up, it is an enlightening, dramatic experience.
