WHAT IS IT ABOUT?

Genesius Theatre Guild presents a staged reading of Adam, an exciting new musical about the turbulent life and times of Adam Clayton Powell, Jr., civil rights activist and Harlem's first black congressman. Featuring book and lyrics by Edward C. Sullivan, music by William McDaniel, directed by Maurice Curry, and musical direction by Richard Cummings. To benefit the programs of Genesius Theatre Guild that create and develop new plays and musical, with a portion of the proceeds going to benefit the Actors' Fund of America.
