WHAT IS IT ABOUT?

Stir the Sauce Productions presents 86 Street, by Frank Terranova. In the summer of 1985 Angelo fresh off a breakup is invited by his buddies to cruise Bensonhurst's 86 Street to chase the ladies. Unable to forget his lady love, he does not share in the festivities. His spirits quickly pickup when he meets a beautiful Romanian gypsy girl named Danira who is stuck in an inappropriate relationship with her older brother. Add to the mix - a frustrated Italian nympho, a meeting with a damaged yet vulnurable teenage prostitute, a pop culture referencing pimp and a gay disco dancer who claims his father was the one who really taught John Travolta to dance for Saturday Night Fever. 86 Street is a character driven time capsule which combines slapstick comedy with heartfelt drama. With a soundtrack featuring - Yaz, the Isley Brothers, Tina Marie, Curtis Mayfield, Bananarama, Average White Band, Frank Zappa, and Alison Moyet.
