Seth Duerr will direct the York Shakespeare Company's productions of Shakespeare's The Merchant of Venice and Christopher Marlowe's The Jew of Malta, to run in repertory November 28 - December 20 at the Goldman-Sonnenfeldt Auditorium in the Jewish Community Center.

Both Shakespeare's well-known classic and Marlowe's lesser known play focus on Jewish characters who are living as outsiders in their worlds. Luis de Amechazurra will play Shylock and Emily Robin Fink will play Portia in Merchant. Paul Rubin will play the title character in Malta. Additional casting and creative team will be announced at a later date.
