Denise Quiñones stars as Madame of the Sacred Heart in the original NYC cast of this classy and irreverent comedy by Antonio Zancada. Zanahorias (Carrots) opened in Madrid in 2001 and became an instant favorite among the city's theater lovers. Alfredo Galván directs its English-language premiere.

The action is set in the 18th-century in the fictional Kingdom of Puritania, where dialectical battles and the coarsest acts occur daily. Thus, the most depraved holds the higher social status ... but thanks to Madame's talent for manipulation and disguise, this is about to change. Heads will roll, yes. The controversial Marquises and Countesses that inhabit the play could be easily compared to today's socialites and clueless heiresses. Let's not mention names. That would be gossiping.
