WHAT IS IT ABOUT?
The Women Center Stage festival returns for the entire month of March at The Living Theatre in Manhattan's Lower East Side. Featuring more than 40 performances by established and rising women artists, this year's lineup includes a weekend of director-driven short pieces attempting to answer the question, "What is political theater?"; a tribute to anarchist theater legend Judith Malina; an autobiographical musical by Scottish singer-songwriter Angela McCluskey; a new play by up-and-coming playwright and director Calla Videt; and many, many more.
