WHAT IS IT ABOUT?
The largest "short-musical" festival in the country, WVMTF presents 5 series of 15 minute world-premiere musicals letting audiences enjoy a tasting menu of new musicals, sampling different styles, genres and subject matters in the course of a single show. Now in its fourth year, WVMTF seeks to provide a safe haven for pioneer artists looking to not only challenge and reinvent the genre, but also build upon the technically sound and well-crafted work that came before. This year's festival includes world premieres by both emerging and renowned artists such as lyricist Sheldon Harnick (Fiddler on the Roof). Other shows in the festival run the gamut from pop culture parodies like Grindr: The Musical to thought provoking dramas such as The Misfit.
