WHAT IS IT ABOUT?
Sassy. Strong. Relevant. Urban Bush Women celebrates their 20 years with a program of signature favorites including the raucous Batty Moves, an homage to the female buttocks. Making the connection between past and present, UBW Founding Artistic Director Jawole Willa Jo Zollar has created a new touching and lyrical dance that honors African American dance pioneer and social activist, Pearl Primus: Walking With Pearl-Africa Diaries (NY premiere).
