WHAT IS IT ABOUT?
This new musical comedy is titled after an epithet used in the gay community to indicate older and -- often inaccurately -- desperate-seeming gay men. Writers Bill Dyer (book and lyrics) and Dick DeBenedictis (music) aren't out to bash gay men of a certain age, but to apparently reclaim the word in a lighthearted and empowering way. This is the show that asks, "Is life gay after 40?" Pamela Hall directs.

As friends and family (as well as Boomie's ghost) gather together, they share reminiscences of good times, ponder what it means to grow old within the youth-obsessed gay culture, and celebrate the bonds of friendship.
