WHAT IS IT ABOUT?
On a steamy New Orleans evening a terrible thing happens to the Brenier family - all their dreams come true. Julian, the prodigal brother, sweeps home to his middle-aged sisters with the American dream in his pocket: an overnight fortune, a truckload of presents, even that trip to Europe they've imagined for years. But what happens when you discover the things you thought you wanted aren't what you wanted at all? Lillian Hellman's last great play, Toys in the Attic follows a single day in the life of one family - as love turns destructive, innocence becomes dangerous, and the truth will come out ...no matter the cost.
The Opening Night performance is scheduled for Sunday, January 14 2007 at 7:00 PM. This performance is in addition to the regular 2:00 PM matinee.

Yet, under Austin Pendleton's remarkably assured direction, the Pearl's core players -- here freed of corsets and foppery -- serve up unusually vivid portraits of Hellm[...]
