Review: Good Show by zlewis1
The show was very entertaining. Ashantis acting was not too strong but her singing was pretty good except for the finale song which was just ok Home by Stephanie Mills is much much better!. The supporting cast was fantastic Dawn Lewis, Tichina, Orlando as well as the actors playing the Scarecrow, Tinman and Lion - All fabulous! Overall, the show was definitely enjoyable!

Review: Very nostalgia by essense
Ashantis voice was angelic, Tichina Arnold portrayed Evilene like the witch she is, and Orlando Jones - I didnt know that he could sing- excellent. The play took me back to my childhood. Ease down the road to watch this play, it was funny and fun.

Review: RE:Very good show by Javone
It was really good. Ashanti was good. She wasnt the focal point of the play. She had her main points in the play. But the other actors really brought it home.
Her voice is not that strong, and her acting was very basic and simple. The other actors lead while Ashanti supported.
Dawn "Jaleesa" Lewis was very very funny. But she can act. So it was expected. She was Addapearl.
Tichina "Pam" Arnold was off the hook as the wicked witch of the west. She kilt it. I expected a great performance from Pam and she gave it.
LaChanze Tony winner from The Color Purple was very very good also. She played Aunt Em and glenda the good witch from the south.
The scarecrow was funny, as was tinman and the lion. I like the lion the most.
There was dialogue that was condusive to todays society, and that made it funnier.
Its a musical so for every act there was a song. Ashanti only had 2 solo performances. And the music was designed for her style of being able to hold a note notice I didnt say sing, lol. The other actors can sang, so their performances were very good.
Orlando Bloom as The Wiz was ok. I kept seeing him as that damn band director from Drumline. But he was good as well.
The storyline was good in its adaptation. I kept wondering how they would act out certain things, like the tornado, easin on down, and emerald city. And it was good.
Overall, for her the very first show. I give it 3.75 out of 5 Doves.
