WHAT IS IT ABOUT?
The von Trapp Children are the great-grandchildren of the real Captain and Maria von Trapp, whose love story was depicted in The Sound of Music, and the grandchildren of Werner von Trapp, portrayed in the movie as Kurt.
Their spring show includes performances of all your Rodgers and Hammerstein favorites from the play and movie, as well as an eclectic program featuring classical and folk melodies performed by the original Trapp Family Singers -- from 12th Century motet to Appalachian, European and Asian folk tunes, sung in English, Latin, French, German and Korean!
During the course of the show, the children also tell stories about their family and discuss differences between the family history and that of the celluloid von Trapps. After each performance, the children and their parents will greet the audience, autograph CDs and books, and answer questions about their famous family.
