WHAT IS IT ABOUT?
The Acting Company presents The Turn of the Screw , by Jeffrey Hatcher, adapted from Henry James, directed by Davis McCallum.
A provocative tale of suspense and intrigue, Jeffrey Hatcher's adaptation of Henry James' story conceals madness and mystery in a brilliant, spine-tingling play. An English governess is sent to a remote estate, romantic yet fraught with disturbing questions.
Why was her young charge expelled from school?
Why does his angelic young sister refuse to speak?
Are there ghosts or are they the product of her fevered imagination?
Most disturbing of all, what if none of this is real?
