WHAT IS IT ABOUT?
A traumatized soldier seeks help and redemption from a military psychiatrist in a searing exploration of torture and and accountability. Eve Ensler's new play stars Dylan McDermott and Portia and is directed by Leigh Silverman.
The Treatment is one of the exciting features of IMPACT, the Culture Project's first ever citywide festival of human rights, social justice, and political action. The festival, which will include theater, music, dance, comedy, visual arts, film, and debate, will take place at venues across New York City from September 11th - October 22nd.

Eve Ensler is mad as can be and determined to do something about it in her volatile new play,
The Treatment. Ensler is always aflame when she writes; she wouldn't be Eve Ensler if she weren't on some sort of a dramaturgical rampage. For the last decade, she's been an impressive dot on the international theater map because of the fury she exhibited in The Vagina Monologues and her solo show The Good Body, in which she tackled the images women have of themselves. Now she's leaped from feminist politics to domestic and global politics of a different sort. And if in making the broad jump, she hasn't landed solidly on two feet, she's still something to behold.
