WHAT IS IT ABOUT?
Karen Reynolds observes the behavior of Southern belles in The Scarlett O'Hara Complex. Women in the South are brought up to behave as the fictional character of Scarlett O'Hara did. They smile when they really don't want to and maintain their composure at all times. Very few have the courage to deviate from this formula. The ones that do take so much abuse from their peers that they find they would rather kill their husbands than take them to court. David Reynolds directs.
