Cheesy, but we loved it!
by VLIBLAU on Friday, Jan 28th, 2011 at 9:35 amWe had a fantastic time on ?The Ride?. After reading the synopsis and some of the reviews, I was a bit skeptical...but I had free tickets, so I thought, why not?
Having lived in NY for 7 years, I?ve never been on any of the tour buses. We boarded the high tech bus, sat in the center of one of the rows of the stadium style seating facing giant windows; the entire driver?s side and ceiling are large window panels with some TV monitors to assist with the show. A much better plan than the open top double-deckers for a winter day! There are 2 hosts aboard the bus, who take you on a tour of midtown Manhattan, share facts and factoids, ask quiz show style questions and stop in front of some very talented performers from a rapper to ballet dancers, and my favorite, an auditioning wannabe Broadway starlet.
It was a lot of fun to get a different perspective on midtown. I?m not sure I would have been willing to pay the $65 price of admission, but there are great discount codes, so I say, check ?The Ride? out!
2 Thumbs Up!

Utterly disappointing and not worth the money
by ralston1794 on Thursday, Nov 11th, 2010 at 3:39 pmConsisted of two hosts who were doing schtick that will make you groan. The street performers are clever and youre hopeful that it will be build to something truly memorable, but it ultimately disappoints. And for $65 you can do a full bus tour of Manhattan or see a legit Broadway show. This needs major re-tooling before its worth the time and money.
So much fun!
by dh2488 on Saturday, Oct 30th, 2010 at 9:31 pmYou will have a great time on The Ride. I dont know what was better, the performers or peoples reaction to the performers. Not only do you laugh and get to play along but you actually learn things about NYC too. I would recommend this to anyone who wants to see Manhattan for the first time or like me has lived here all their life.
