WHAT IS IT ABOUT?

Amanda Wingfield (the mother in The Glass Menagerie) considered young girls to be a pretty trap and hence the title of Tennessee Williams' precursor to his Menagerie masterpiece. The Pretty Trap was premiered by Food for Thought, the sister company of Cause Celebre and is considered to be a comedy by the playwright himself. THIS EVENING'S READING DOES NOT STAR ELAINE STRITCH! For the reading with Elaine Stritch, Click here. This program also includes Interior Panic, the One-Act version of A Streetcar Named Desire featuring Tasha Lawrence and Johanna Day. Both One-Acts are directed by Christopher Hart.
