WHAT IS IT ABOUT?
The great architect Solness, whom Ibsen called "a man somewhat akin to me," is driven by his fear of being dethroned by the next generation, by his guilt over all that he may have sacrificed for his ambition, and by the urgings of a young girl to fulfill his promise. The play asks us to re-think the meaning of integrity and the price we pay for success. Directed by Artistic Director and Founder of The Pearl Theatre Company, Shepard Sobel.
