He was the most notorious rake of the Restoration Age. Meet the 2nd Earl of Rochester (the Libertine), a complex and fascinating man who reveled in debauchery and the arts. This provocative and witty play centers on the moment his cynicism is confounded when he falls in love with an actress and his hedonistic lifestyle catches up with him.

RE:Excellent production
As a Rochester scholar, this was a must see for me, but I brought my son who laughed as much as I did. Excellent performances--the actors did this fine play justice. One of the best Ive seen all year Costuming, make-up, set design, music all work to make this a very enjoyable night of theater. Short run, so highly recommended.
