WHAT IS IT ABOUT?
Join The Greene Space for the world premiere of the audio theater adaptation of Garson Kanin's classic Broadway play, The Rat Race. The Yorinks Theater Group has taken this timeless New York City landscape and adapted it into a work not only for radio, but for a live audience in our multi-platform venue in the heart of Manhattan. An all-star cast of New York actors perform, accompanied by a live jazz ensemble featuring Lou Marini, Rick Wald and Jo Randazzo. There is also a rare screening of 1960 film The Rat Race, starring Tony Curtis and Debbie Reynolds, with an appearance by the jazz saxophone great, Gerry Mulligan. After the screening there will be a panel discussion featuring John Rubenstein, Michael Connor, Jennifer Van Dyke and others, highlighting the life and work of this master American storyteller.
