Small Pond Entertainment and Joshua Rivedal in association with the Midtown International Theatre Festival are pleased to announce the world premiere production of Rivedal's The Gospel According to Josh, directed by Josh Gaboian. The Gospel According to Josh is a 30 character one man Josh-apalooza, centered around a small town Jersey boy, as he follows his dreams to Hollywood despite the great obstacle of his life: the tempestuous relationship with his pious father. This coming of age tale chronicles Josh's religious upbringing and escape to New York, including a look into his starring roles in not one but two reality TV shows, and ending with a final showdown between him and his father. Featuring cameos by Ella Fitzgerald, Sammy Davis Jr., Moms Mabley, a gaggle of flamboyant gay men, and Elvis Presley; "The Gospel..." will leave you praying for more.
