Does this comedy-drama, set in a rundown Renaissance Faire, have something profound to say about the human condition?
WHAT IS IT ABOUT?
The Faire follows the behind the scenes lives of five performers at the "Renaissance Pleasure Faire" somewhere in the backwoods of northern California. The actress, the fencer, the virgin, the old burnout, and the churro lady all have something to lose when they find out attendance is down and interest is waning. Tensions are running high as the imminent closure of the fair (…and possibly more) approaches. The Faire is the frequently hilarious, occasionally tragic tale of the real lives beneath the corsets and coconut boobs.
