WHAT IS IT ABOUT?

The Drama Dept. presents a series of Talent Shows featuring their company members and surprise special guests on four consecutive Monday nights!

A SALUTE TO NYC - Monday, November 19

Isaac Mizrahi hosts the evening in which company members and special guests express their unique takes on Manhattan. Mr. Mizrahi will sing a few of his favorite Cole Porter tunes; Kevin Chamberlin will perform a selection from his work-in-progress Bellmont 5; and a reading of We Call It Australia, by David Rakoff, from his recent collection Fraud. Other musical highlights will include "Torch Song," composed by Stephen Flaherty.

FREE TO BE YOU AND ME - Monday, November 26

Douglas Carter Beane hosts this all-star live performance of the classic album. Highlights include the title song and "Glad to Have a Friend Like You" performed by Jackie Hoffman and Mary Testa, "Ladies First" by Cynthia Nixon, "Girl Land" by Mary Beth Peil, "William's Doll" by B.D. Wong, "Boy Meets Girl" by Kevin Chamberlin, "Housework" by Ana Gasteyer, and "Don't Dress Your Cat in an Apron" by Isaac Mizrahi.

A DRAMA DEPT. MEDLEY - Monday, December 3

Kevin Chamberlin, Jackie Hoffman, Judy Kuhn, Geoffrey Nauffts, Jessica Stone and B.D. Wong are among the company members on hand to recreate some of the most memorable moments of Drama Dept. productions gone by. You'll get to see the opening scene from Drama Dept.'s first production, Kingdom of Earth; a cut scene from As Bees In Honey Drown, songs and sketches from As Thousands Cheer; and highlights from all of your other favorite Drama Dept. shows, as well as sneak peaks of next year's shows: Herringbone by B.D. Wong, The Dark Kalamazoo by Oni Faida Lampley and Douglas Carter Beane's latest project.

CHRISTMAS PAGEANT HOLIDAY SPECTACULAR - Monday, December 10

Because it's the most wonderful time of the year, Amy Hohn, Geoffrey Nauffts, Jessica Stone and B.D. Wong will perform songs from Christmas in Greenwich with Juicy Delane, including Don't You Wish You Were A Jew on Christmas? by Douglas J. Cohen and Do You Hear What I Hear? David Rakoff will read his essay, Christmas Freud.
