WHAT IS IT ABOUT?
Written in 1897, George Bernard Shaw's The Devil's Disciple shines with wit and wisdom. Set in the American War for Independence, the fast-moving comedic melodrama features a farrago of mistaken identities and powerful life and death situations. Shaw revels in deconstructing American Puritanism; the play could have been written today.
