WHAT IS IT ABOUT?
The City that Cried Wolf is a rollicking theater-noir starring favorite nursery rhyme characters a la Monty Python! Little Bo Peep is a sultry singer who seeks her sheep. Jack B. Nimble is the Private Eye hot on her tail. With sex and adrenaline pumping violence, can Jack crack Rhyme Town's stickiest murder? Or has he fallen for the wrong dame? With three little pigs in satin, bears in teddies, and rub-a-dub-dub three men in a tub, this not your average fairytale. Rhymetown is going to the wolves!
The show is written by Brooks Reeves and directed by Dan Barnes and Leta Tremblay, with choreography by Alberto Peart and original music composed by Brendan Barr.

Re-imagining classic fairy tale characters for adult audiences isn't exactly innovative anymore, but it can still be fun. Brooks Reeves' The City That Cried Wolf at 59E59 Theaters, is a noir detective story that shows potential, even if the end result is somewhat uneven.
The story unfolds in Rhyme Town, and follows Private Detective Jack B. Nimble (Adam La Faci), a former cop, who is hired by councilmember Humpty Dumpty (Loren Vandegrift) to investigate his wife Little Bo Peep (Chloe Demrovsky), whom he suspects is having an affair. When Dumpty is found sunny side up on the pavement, Bo becomes the prime suspect.
Reeves litters his script with references to numerous nursery rhymes, and in[...]
