WHAT IS IT ABOUT?
The TWEED Fractured Classicks Series tops off The Hot Festival with a staged production of a fabulously fractured tale inspired by Tennessee William's classic Summer and Smoke. The story concerns a preacher's spinster daughter who falls for the tawdry boy next door. Emotions - and pill popping - run high. This 'send-up' will be interpreted by a dynamic cast including the sensational drag method actress Sweetie, burlesque superstar Bradford Scobie, Steve Hayes (Tired Old Queen at the Movies), Gina Vetro, (PuPu Platter) David Ilku (This American Life), Colleen O'Neill (Dr Julia Wonder), raconteur extraordinaire Joseph Keckler, and new comers to the series, Judith Greentree and Wes Urish. Costumes by Ramona Ponce, Directed by TWEED's Kevin Malony. COME - Find out if they'll be off book! There is a bar.
