Hailed as 'magnetic and breathtaking' (Irish Times), Tony-winner Anna Manahan creates two extraordinary portraits of Sisters Martha and Mary in Sisters, a new Irish play by Declan Hassett. The play's two acts outline the resentments, regrets, and secrets of these two women whose lives have taken very different turns. Set in '50s Ireland, Sisters is a story of disappointed love, brutal passion and the horrific consequences of two women's lives.

Anna Manahan is best remembered by New York audiences for her riveting portrayal of a domineering mother in Martin McDonagh's The Beauty Queen of Leenane, which earned the Irish actress a well-deserved Tony Award. Her latest project has her playing the dual roles of siblings Martha and Mary in Declan Hassett's solo play, Sisters, written specifically with Manahan in mind. Unfortunately, despite a grand performance from the acclaimed actress, the show is a plodding and predictable bore.
