Emotional experience.

It has been a long time since I had goose bumps and cried during a performance. After seeing the musical Signs of Life I had this experience again. It is a story about a young Jewish girl, Lorelei Schuman and her family and friends during the Nazi occupation of Prague and at Theresienstadt concentration camp. There was little interaction with audience except for several applause bursts during the musical parts and shared sighs during the saddest parts. The audience was simply mesmerized by the power of the story and the exquisite performances of the actors. There wasn?t a moment of monotony or boredom; when I glanced around I saw only breathless expectation and eyes full of tears. The theatre was a small intimate place, where it?s very easy to absorb the story in depth. Composition of music played from background nicely complemented the mood of the story. Costumes and stage d?cor were very modest and simple emphasizing the time of World War II. ? It is a story about the importance of unity when facing a crises and extremely difficult situations , and about the love and moral values. I highly recommend to see this musical .

A touching and wonderful theatrical evening

From the opening scene, until the moving and uplifting finale,Signs of Life is a most remarkable play. To be able to handle this most difficult subject with such sensitivity and respect, is a credit to all involved. The direction, music, lyrics, and script were wonderful! The cast was superb! I loved the set, which ingeniously, set the mood. This is a play that will stay with you, long after you leave the theater!

Moving and superb!

I loved this play. Signs of Life is so much more than a story about the Holocaust. Even during horrible times we see that certain things can never be destroyed. The talented artists of Terezin were forced to portray a lively and happy community to fuel the propaganda needs of the Nazis. However, the artists bravely created the reality of their struggle in writing and art to show the world what was really happening to them. The music was superb, the cast was exceedingly talented and the set was beautifully conceived. Kudos to the writers and the score. The direction by Jeremy Dobrish was sensitive and powerful. Go see this wonderful play!
