In the NY premiere of "Anytown," Shapiro and Smith's trademark wit and physical toughness join with the music of Bruce Springsteen, his rocker wife, Patti Scialfa, and E-Street Band member Soozie Tyrell. A dialogue between contemporary dance and music, "Anytown" takes its keen storytelling, down-to-earth tone and musicality directly from the songs. Evoking the plight and promise of regular folks, "Anytown" takes us inside the intertwined lives of three families, exploring their entanglements with humor and compassion.
