Really Real is an intimate exploration of the human species. Simultaneously abstract and about nearly everything -- including youth, beauty, love,death, sex, and power -- and using no other design beyond a bare stage, people, and light. Cardona exposes the complex relationships and meanings that exist between people in movement. The work is set to a new sound score by Phil Kline -- performed live by the Grammy Award-winning Brooklyn Youth Chorus -- with lighting by long-time collaborator Roderick Murray, and features Cardona's quartet and special guests.
