The York Theatre Company presents the U.S. premiere of Prodigal. A cozy fishing town on the edge of Australia, Eden is the perfect place to live. Unless you're 18, like Luke Flannery and itching to get on with finding out where you fit. Luke is about to discover that the home you leave is not the same as the home to which you return. The score ranges from lyric ballads to contemporary pop.
There is no performance on Friday, March 29. The final show will be on Sunday, March 31 at 7:30pm.

Prodigal, a new musical imported to the York Theatre direct from Australia, is an update of the New Testament parable about a young son who flees the responsibilities of home life only to come crawling back after he's spent his money and lost his dignity. In the parable, the young man's return is resented by his hard working brother but he is welcomed back with open arms by his father; in this musical version, the father is not so forgiving, for he has discovered that his beloved son is gay.
