WHAT IS IT ABOUT?
The Joyce Theater presents an exciting 12-week season featuring some of the finest dance companies from America and across the globe.
Six extraordinary dancers, five works, three world premieres...
Overflowing with innovation, artistry and excitement, the program from this dynamic young company includes live piano music by Philip Glass; a haunting, seldom seen 1948 Daniel Nagrin solo; and new pieces created for Wendy Whelan by Shen Wei and Edwaard Liang (New York City Ballet soloist). Closing the evening is a world premiere performed and choreographed by hip-hop master Victor Quijada of Montreal's Rubberbandance Group with NYCB standouts Sean Suozzi and Andrew Veyette, plus John Selya, the breakout star of Broadway's Movin' Out.
