WHAT IS IT ABOUT?
Avery Brooks stars in Paul Robeson, a play with music by Phillip Hayes Dean. The play takes place on the evening of the 75th birthday tribute to Robeson at Carnegie Hall, and launches a dramatic journey told through memory and music of Robeson's life from childhood to his enormous personal, political, and artistic triumphs.
