WHAT IS IT ABOUT?
Written by Christopher Shinn, On the Mountain is directed by Jo Bonney. A former rock and roll wild child, haunted by the suicide of a Seattle Rock legend, struggles with the rebellion of her own iPod obsessed teenage daughter. When rumors of the rock star's final, lost song bring a charming young man with questionable motives into the picture, an intriguing mystery begins to unfold.

"How do you not be depressed?" asks a character in Christopher Shinn's On the Mountain. In this moving and understated drama, the playwright delves into the psyches of his characters as they attempt to reconcile with their pasts while trying to make sense of their present. Sarah (Amy Ryan) is a single mother raising her 16-year-old daughter, Jaime (Alison Pill).
