Modern dance legend Merce Cunningham revives Ocean at the Festival, where it originally had its New York premiere in 1996. In this final collaboration between two great American geniuses, Cunningham and his longtime partner John Cage, the dancers perform in the round, surrounded by the audience who in turn are surrounded by a 112-piece orchestra, creating a uniquely layered environment to hold this exotic ocean of ever changing movement and images.
