WHAT IS IT ABOUT?
Irving Berlin's Miss Liberty is presented as part of York Theatre's Musicals in Mufti series of staged concert performances. Michael Montel directs.
Featuring a book by Robert Sherwood, Miss Liberty is set in Paris in 1895 and focuses on a New York newspaper reporter who tries to find the model who posed for the statue. The show premiered on Broadway in 1949, where it ran for over 300 performances.
