Synopsis

Menopause The Musical, Jeanie Linders' musical parody, chronicles the meeting of four women at a lingerie sale at Bloomingdale's with nothing in common but a black lace bra and the many symptoms of menopause. Twenty-one re-lyriced songs from the sixties and seventies ("I Heard It Through the Grapevine, You'll No Longer See 39," "Stayin' Awake," etc.) comprise the score. The cast includes Joy Lynn Matthews, Lynn Eldredge, Megan Thomas, and Sally Ann Swarm as a power professional, an aging soap opera star, an Iowa housewife, and a lost-in-the-sixties hippie. Kathleen Lindsey directs.
