WHAT IS IT ABOUT?
Theatre for a New Audience and Arts at St. Ann's in association with 2Luck Concepts present the New York Premiere of the Shakespeare's Globe Theatre of London's production of Measure for Measure.
In Measure for Measure, love and lust, justice and mercy, purity and villainy all lock horns in Shakespeare's famously troubling comedy of a man sentenced to death and his sister, a nun, who can only save his life at the cost of her virtue. This signature production from London's Globe Theatre employs "original practices," an all-male cast, period music and clothing. Mark Rylance appears as Duke Vincentio, in his final season as the company's beloved artistic director.
Evening performances are December 20, 21, 22, 23, 26, 27, 28, 29 and 30 at 7:30pm and January 1 at 7:00pm.
Matinees are December 21 and 28 and January 1 at 2:00pm.
There are no performances Christmas Eve, Christmas Day or New Year's Eve.

The Shakespeare's Globe Theatre production of Measure for Measure is a revelation.
