WHAT IS IT ABOUT?
Mary Stuart takes as its subject a critical moment in English history: Queen Elizabeth's execution of her cousin Mary, Queen of Scots. It is Mary, however, who by accepting responsibility for her guilt and finding the strength to accept her fate, finds true freedom, while Elizabeth condemns herself to bondage by the act of sacrificing her integrity. Directed by Eleanor Holdridge.
